Best Cornucopia I've Ever Received

"Having grown up around beautifully made cornucopias from small, bespoke craftsmen, I’ll admit my standards may be somewhat unreasonable. This piece is certainly impressive in size, and from across a room it creates the general effect one hopes for. At nearly $300, though, I was expecting the kind of craftsmanship, weight, detail, and finish I remember from the handmade pieces my family purchased when I was growing up. This one has a decidedly more contemporary interpretation of “artisan. ” It arrived intact, it does hold decorative produce, and it is undeniably shaped like a cornucopia—so in those respects, it performs exactly as promised. For anyone who hasn’t spent their childhood surrounded by handwoven, heirloom-quality versions made by craftsmen who apparently dedicated their entire lives to perfecting the harvest basket, I imagine this will be absolutely lovely. Five stars for reminding me how fortunate I was growing up."
