The 250th Large Trug with Protector is a commemorative heirloom piece created to celebrate 250 years of American spirit, craftsmanship, and tradition. Designed in a striking patriotic bunting weave, this special edition basket is made for everything summer brings — from garden harvests and farmers markets to porch gatherings and holiday picnics.

Handwoven from maple wood, the 15"L x 12"W x 5"H trug features a sturdy static wood handle, a red, white, and blue woven pattern inspired by classic Americana bunting, and detailing that makes this piece truly collectible. The words “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave” are burned into either end of the basket as a tribute to the enduring American story.

Each trug includes a gold “America 250 1776–2026” collector’s tag along with a commemorative "America 250" keepsake tag honoring this historic milestone. The Longaberger Company was established in 1973, continuing the basket-weaving tradition that began in Dresden, OH in 1896. Longaberger is still continuing the art of basket making in the village of Dresden, America's Basketmaking Capital. We welcome you to visit us at our home in Dresden at our General Store located at 600 Main Street. You can then take a walk down to the Workshop to witness the process of basket making and see our skilled artisans at work.
